Hello.....*puts head round door*

I have been extremely slack in the blogging department...  in the crafting department too come to that.  Life has got in the way too often in the last few weeks.  Still, I have been off work for the last 2 weeks which has been fab.....four more weeks to go....Yay!!  Working in a school does have some benefits!  Have been trying to catch up on all my housework, but with 2 teens in the house it seems as soon as I finish one room and start on another, the first room is trashed again....Brings to mind a plaque I've painted and must photograph.... it quotes 'Doing the housework with kids in the house is like trying to shovel snow in a blizzard!'

A really good June sales wise gave way to seriously slow July....Am hoping that it's just this time of year and not an indication of a downturn in my little business....I am struggling to get visitors to my site and I do know I have to pull my finger out and get promoting!!  So I guess I've been slack there too!  Someone needs to give me a good kick I think!!

Away from crafting, who's been watching the Olympics??  I have been blown away by team GB!!  I think the atmosphere being created by the games is amazing, and despite pictures of empty seats in stadiums, the footage of people gathering in Hyde Park and other venues to watch the action on big screen is incredible! I feel it's really bought the country together, especially when you think of the mood of much of the country this time last year with all the riots.  I for one am loving it all!!!  Huge congratulations to all the medal winners and to those who have given it their all.....after all you can't ask for more than that!

Am glad to be back blogging, if you see me miss a week please feel free to give a poke! Am now going to head over to Handmade Harbour to see what brilliant stuff everyone else has been up to!

Bye for now!

S x

I know how you feel - sometime there just doesn't seem to be enough hours of the day or days in the week to get everything done. Enjoy the rest of your time away from the day job.

The Olympics have been brilliant and very hard not to sit glued to the television all day. Welcome back to HM - hope you are enjoying your break. Hope you have a good week.

I've loved the games too (and I was a bit bah humbug about them before!) and I think they have lifted the mood of the whole country. The fair I was at yesterday was buzzing and everyone seemed upbeat, the consensus was that the mood from the previous month was much brighter (people were spending a bit more too!)

So good to have you back blogging... always enjoy hearing what is going on on Jersey. Hope the sales pick up soon, perhaps the Olympic feel good factor will kick in very soon :)

Love the idea of the plaque - so true. I bet these would sell really well as it is a common cry!
