 Jersey - My Pic©

Musings on life, family, Jersey and making stuff.

Summer has come and passed....

Jersey has been on tenterhooks all day today,  We have been warned of gale force winds and told to batten down the hatches.....Well, we're still waiting.  Although the wind hasn't arrived yet, Autumn definitely has!  It's been damp, grey and horrible and my poor thumb has been aching like mad.  Still awaiting results from the xray so still don't know what, if anything, is wrong with it.  Thankfully it doesn't affect my plier holding and I have been able to learn the very basic European 4-1 weave....pleased about that I am :)

I made a new bracelet today....really love it and will now have to order more components as I now HAVE to have one for myself hehehe!!  I also have earrings and a pendant to match.  The photography is rubbish as the light has been bad here today and I still don't have studio lighting.

I will do better photos when we next see the sun....I wouldn't advise anyone to hold their breath though.

On a non crafting front, I have been infected with all sorts of germs from all the kids at work, so have been feeling really under the weather....Have hit the berroca big time in the hope of boosting my immune system.  Got a poorly sick Jo too now, so I've obviously been sharing the lurgy around.

At least I can't spread my bug over the 'net so am going to head on over to Handmade Harbour for a nosey.  So I'll catch you again next week....If I haven't been blown away of course...

Bye for now

  1. Autumn has arrived here too. Been wet and miserable all day. Hope you feel better soon.

  2. Yep, Autumn has arrived here too. I think the days of good light are over for a bit. I like your makes. They are very wearable with a variety of outfits, posh or just everyday. I hope the gales keep away.

So sorry you have been poorly Sarah, think the change in temperatures it is not surprising. I love your makes this week, so elegant. Sounds like Arthur Itus in your thumb, I get it with my sewing.

  4. I hate it when we get to this time of year and it gets really difficult to find good light for photographs - having said that yours look fine to me!
